I use a 3 way splitter at the main line coming in. I have the maximum signal strength from all three Wi-Fi networks. On my desktop I have several Wi-Fi signal monitoring and scanning programs. Referencing the logs when the error occurs shows no drop-outs, signal degradation, traffic jams, or other anomalies from the Wi-Fi signals. In usage, I have no problems picking up my Wi-Fi anywhere in my house or outside anywhere on my property. My Wi-Fi comes through just fine in my workshop which as a motorcycle shop is full of metal shelving and parts plus all the large pieces of shop equipment, motorcycles, parts, etc.

Typically, I can pick up between 10 and 15 Wi-Fi networks from around the neighborhood most all of which are strong signals. The only ones in the list are the three networks I programmed in. The Wi-Fi will be at max strength and everything is working fine. There is no active Wi-Fi connection even though everything appears to be on. None of the other networks around me show at all.

Sometimes I have to power down the phone and restart it to restore Wi-Fi. Other times I have to turn Wi-Fi on and off several times and it may start working again. It has been doing it more frequently it seems. It was maybe once every couple of days and within a week is now doing it several times a day.

There are no other issues with using the phone for anything else. I have no problems with getting on Internet, surfing, texting, calling, or anything else. What do you think and can you recommend anything else? It is extremely helpful when trying to diagnose the problem on a phone to have as much information as possible. So thank you. You provided your phones make and model, its software, your wireless provider, phones age, app situation, network info, including your service and router info, other networks, signal strength, a description of the settings on the phone.

Just a beautiful comment, so thanks again. I agree that the problem seems to be isolated to your phone and not a problem with your networks. These three networks that are showing up are, like you said, the secured networks that you setup and programmed onto your phone which the cell phone can sign into automatically when they are in range. Just be careful! Avoid any physical damage at all cost. If somehow there is a software bug, glitch, virus, etc that snuck onto the phone then a reset will wipe out that issue and set the phone to like new condition again.

This could help determine whether it is a software issue or not. If you reset the phone and it continues to randomly lose Wi-Fi signal then since your phone is less than a year old only 2 months old from your description then this issue would be covered under warranty and you should certainly look into filing a warranty claim on your cell phone as it is likely defective. If you need to backup your phone to perform the factory data reset then checkout some of the guides and articles listed on the site.

You can find many such posts under the Content and Learn tabs at the top of this website. I too try to be specific as possible when explaining how to do things with a cell phone, and I think some of those articles can certainly help you as you troubleshoot your phone.

In addition, there have been random lockups ranging from the phone being frozen like a locked computer.

I have to hard restart by holding down the power button. It has locked up in mid-sentence several times while listening to an audio book. It never comes out of the locked up state and it seems independent of the wifi problem in that the network connection icon is still present. Everything being frozen keeps me from investigating any deeper.

Performance is definitely trending downward. Mobile Tech support yet. I had really hoped the shake test would have shown something. Virgin replaced it with the identical model about a week after my last post. It has lost WiFi maybe twice in all that time. Otherwise I have had no more problems with it showing Out of range.

Even actually going out of range and then back in, except for those couple of times, reconnects fine. Thank you Jim for taking the time to come back to the site and post another follow up! I hope it performs perfectly for you until the times comes when you choose to upgrade to the newest, latest and greatest device available at that time. Thanks again Jim and I hope you have a spectacular day my friend.

I have been getting a lot of comments and emails from my readers who seem to be having issues connecting or staying connected with their Wi-Fi even after trying to setup a Static IP address and sometimes even after performing a full Factory Data Reset on their smartphone.

After thinking about these issues for a while it occurred to me that the issues listed above are most often the result of something on the phone causing problems which this article covers BUT could also be a problem with the wireless network that you are attempting to connect to as well. As such I have written an additional Wi-Fi Advanced Troubleshooting guide that addresses the possibility of an improperly configured wireless network and offers some advice on troubleshooting the network itself as opposed to simply troubleshooting the phone.

If you are experiencing any of those issues, or are still having problems connecting or staying connected to your Wi-Fi after having tried ALL of the troubleshooting mentioned in the guide above then I recommend that you take a look at the Advanced Wi-Fi Troubleshooting guide now mentioned at the end of this article as well as linked to in this comment.

Galaxy S3 connects to home wifi but can not browse internet I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and no matter what I do firmware update on router, reset router AND phone to factory defaults, Replaced Router which was actually only 3 weeks old to begin with None of this helps.

It is only my home network that I see the issue with. I am at wits end and do not know what else to do besides pay for a phone upgrade and hope to god that I can connect with a diff phone.. Please help if possible! Nobody has any idea. I know of that issue and it can be a tuff one to fix.

Sometimes it can be so aggravating you reach the point of wanting to pull your own hair out after having thrown your phone against the wall shattering it into a thousand pieces.

I convinced a family member to get that phone when it first came out and I just got the S4 they are good phones. So let me see if I can lend a hand and help get your Galaxy S3 connecting correctly again. Has the phone ever worked properly or has it done this since you got it? It sounds like from what you said the phone is connecting to your home network but not getting internet. Wi-Fi or internet issues on a smartphone are tuff to fix, and finding a person to help you fix it can be frustrating as well.

After hours on the phone with no progress you can be one unhappy camper. Thank you for providing the information on what you have done so far though because it helps get down to the issue. The first thing I recommend is that you make sure your using the right pass code to connect to your router.

Some routers have 2 different passwords to connect to it properly. You reset your phone and your phone works with other networks so you can almost rule out the chance of it being a phone issue. Have you tried connecting to your router with a laptop or better yet another smartphone?

That can help narrow things down a bit as well. Do you have a custom password that you set yourself? I hope that helps a little. Sorry I cannot be of more help, most of what I can recommend to try is in the article above. It sounds like an issue with the password s and the phone and the router not having a strong enough or proper handshake. Galaxy s3 not connecting to internet after up grade I had the problem of non connection after I was forced to upgrade to the latest os.

After trying everything including: soft reset , changing passwords and even a hard reset, with nothing working. Well, what a load off my mind… the internet was up and running better than before.

It may not work for everyone but it worked great for me. Good luck. I changed the router channel without success then tried location services. Hi, i have sony xperia tipo Hi, i have sony xperia tipo and when i am home and trying to conect on wi fi i says obtaining IP adress and authentication problem a i cant conect plese help..

I know you said you have the Sony Xperia Tipo, which at the moment is likely operating on the 4. I added more information that should help in resolving the Wi-Fi issue that you are experiencing.

Thanks again for reading, I hope this helps. I have tried almost everything please help. I went back and added a section to the article about a little trick that can sometimes get this problem resolved fairly quickly. If you still have authentication issues then make sure to follow the other steps of troubleshooting mentioned in the guide above. If only I would have been smart enough to look on the Internet before going over my data plan not once but twice..

I had mostly been home so I knew even though my phone showed using wifi it clearly was not. Thank you again! Can you be a little more specific my friend? The Samsung Galaxy S 3 is a good phone.

What does the phone seem to be doing when it tries to connect to the Wi-Fi? Make sure to try all the suggestions in this article in order to get your phone up and running properly again. You have told the phone to forget your Home Wi-Fi address and information and have tried to log into it from the very beginning right?

Not simply changing the password but also scanning for the wireless network, finding it, logging onto it, etc? Sometimes when a phone remembers a network it remembers an incorrect password for that network and can cause problems. You have tried other devices which seem to work so it would appear to be isolated to your phone… Is it only your home Wi-Fi that has issues or does the problematic device have problems connecting to any wireless network?

My laptop connects to it without a glitch. My Samsung Galaxy S3 4G recognizes that the wifi is available, allows me to type in the password, remembers the connection… But does not ever actually connect to it. Also, I have of course turned my phone off, removed the battery, turned my router off and the normal procedures. What more could I do? From your very well written description the point that stood out to me was that your Samsung Galaxy S3 is able to connect to other Wi-Fi networks without a problem.

This leads me to believe that your home network may need a bit of tinkering in order to allow your Galaxy S3 to connect to it properly even though your home network is allowing your laptop to connect just fine. Make sure to also review ALL of the comments left by other readers on both this guide and that advanced troubleshooting guide. There are many comments posted by other individuals with similar issues and you are likely to find the advice already available in these comments helpful in fixing your Wi-Fi connection.

Wi-Fi issues can be one of the most frustrating things to try and fix on any type of smartphone and once you have run out of things to try you may end up needing to do what Soos ended up doing… looking into possible repair or replacement options.

Let me know one way or the other Dave. I look forward to hearing from you. Same issue. Out of the blue my phone will no longer connect. Then it will suddenly work for a few minutes then stop.

So frustrating! My s3 can find networks, but… My s3 can find networks, but every time I try to connect, the phone simply ignores me. They should be able to get your phone repaired or replaced though as this is considered a warrantable issue. My phone will connect to wifi, but it will be overridden by my data connection. By this I mean if I have my data and wifi on at the same time it will use my data instead of using the wifi like normal.

I should be able to keep both on and have my internet service pulled through wifi and not data when I am home. Please help! That is an odd problem; I know it is not a common issue for the Skyrocket. If your phone is connected to Wi-Fi double check to make sure that the internet is working on the network you are connected to. I know that you have turned off your cellular data and the Wi-Fi allows you to pull internet through your home internet but you might also want to use another device just to make sure that the internet on your home Wi-Fi network is working properly.

If you have not updated your Samsung Skyrocket recently it might also be the solution. Check your Android version and make sure that your running on the Android 4. If your phone says that it is still running on the Android version 2. If you do need to update to the Jelly Bean then this Samsung Skyrocket upgrade guide on Samsungs website will walk you through the upgrade process step by step. I recommend that you always backup your phone before performing an upgrade just in case.

One other thing that you might want to take a look at is the applications that you have downloaded onto your phone. Especially power saving applications that like to turn off certain features of your phone to save power, features like Wi-Fi.

I hope that helps Shelby. You let me know exactly what the problem is and what phone you were having the problem on. It helps me a lot. WiFi says obtaining IP address then authenticating then incorrect password even though my password is correct. It sounds like there is a problem with the password to me. Does this happen on all other wireless networks that you have tried to connect to? Can other phones connect to the network? Can other wireless devices? If you set a custom password then make sure that another device can also connect to the network.

They might just need to provide you with updated information for your Wi-Fi device. Hi…… I am using a samsung duos Hi…… I am using a Samsung duos GT, can you please help me to connect with wifi and kindly let me know what is network ssid and how to connect with this?

As far as helping you with your phones Wi-Fi I would be more than happy to assist you. I tried to include most Wi-Fi issues and how they can be resolved in the article above. So make sure that you re-read the entire article and make sure not to skip any steps. If you follow ALL of the steps in this article then your phones Wi-Fi should be up and running in no time.

If you continue to have issues then you can leave another comment with your exact problem making sure to include as much information and detail as you can in order to help me help you with your problem. I am using college wifi. Only my phone does not connect. All other phones even Samsung get connected.

It seems that my phone has stored the wrong password for that wifi and even if I write the correct password it considers it wrong… I tried to reset but same thing happened!

It is really frustrating when I see everyone is using wifi and I am unable to use it… Please help. Sorry to hear about your Wi-Fi issue. That can be quite frustrating. Take your time when typing in the password, you might be surprised how often a wrong password is entered and of course the Wi-Fi issues that follow. A factory reset would have certainly reset the network information and allowed you to reset the password associated with that network.

Performing the reset should have also corrected any software issues that might have caused a problem with your Wi-Fi so this points to the password as well. Check that password and make sure that the password you are using is the correct one otherwise you can contact the network administrator for your schools wireless internet and he should be able to get your device connected in a matter of minutes. Good luck my friend, triple check that password, and if your network admin assists you with the connection come back and let us know what the exact issue was just in case another person has the same problem.

It sounds like a password problem though so check it, check it, and check it. WIFI problem I have LG L4 II when i try to connect to my wifi at home it connect for a few minutes and then lose connection but not just the phone the entire wireless is losing connection not even my tablet or my laptop can connect, but i have connection on the wired pc. Then i have to restart the router and i get the connection working again.

What is the problem and how can i fix it? From what you described it sounds like more of a problem with the router itself. I recommend contacting the manufacture of the router and asking if there is a configuration setting that might be causing this to happen. Since you have your PC connected by wire most likely an Ethernet connection the manufacture of the router can tell you how to access the router and configure it properly.

So contact your ISP internet service provider or router manufacturer as they might have the best solution for this problem. Connects to Wifi but cannot use Internet Hi, my phone has recently had this problem. It connects to the local free Wifi and works for about ten minutes then decides to stop working. I tried for getting all other devices and restarting my phone. This is irritating lol please help me. So there is no problem connecting to the free, local, and I am assuming non password protected Wi-Fi and once connected there are no problems using the internet from that Wi-Fi BUT after some time on the Wi-Fi about 10 minutes the phone will disconnect from the Wi-Fi on its own and start using data from your Wireless Provider again instead of the free Wi-Fi… I can see how that would be an annoying issue.

What makes the issue so odd is that your phone is connecting to the Wi-Fi and staying connected for a fair amount of time before disconnecting. Not as long as 10 minutes anyways. I mentioned this briefly in the guide above but some power saving settings, features, and especially power saving applications like to help save your battery life by turning off features which like to use power.

But when you leave your home your Wi-Fi will be on and continuously scanning for new networks. So if you walk into a local coffee shop or McDonalds then your phone will find that free Wi-Fi and it will be available to connect to should you choose.

To make a long story short as your phone is scanning its using battery power to do so and the application tries to save your battery by turning the Wi-Fi off. So if you have a power saving application or feature turn it off and see if the Wi-Fi continues to disconnect because this is most likely the cause of the problem. Does this happen at many free Wi-Fi hubs or just one specific one? If you continue to have issues with your Wi-Fi disconnecting then I am going to refer you back to the last step in the article which is to fully backup your phone and perform a factory data reset.

Thanks buddy! Your tips is very good! Thank you ZLFS for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. Thanks again for leaving such a nice comment and thank you for visiting my site.

My first time having one. Please reply Asap as I am going crazy here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4 myself, and I love it! Samsung is a great cell phone manufacture my favorite as a matter of fact and Android is my favorite Operating System.

And while applications are one of Androids strongest features they can sometimes be the leading cause of problems that can occur on an Android cell phone. So if you ever download an application and seem to have problems on your cell phone shortly after then the application that you downloaded might not be written as well as it could be or might not be playing nice with other applications on your phone.

So just keep that in mind when downloading apps. A factory reset is a last resort though so read up on how to fix your power cycling issue first as it should get you on the right track.

I had the same problem as in I had the same problem as in your first paragraph. Did a reset now everything is fine. Galaxy S2 Wifi only works in airplane mode This is actually the second time this has happened. I reset my phone the first time and my wifi worked as it is supposed to.

A couple days ago, I noticed I could not connect to any wifi, either at home or in public. What could be causing this and how do I fix it without having to reset my phone? I have deleted recently downloaded apps and reset my phone many times. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That really sounds like a software issue, and like you said, a reset will usually fix that as it will clean up almost anything that might be messing with the software on your phone… If you have uninstalled your recent applications already, or even done a reset which should fix it again , it still sounds like a software problem on your cell phone.

The Galaxy S 2 was originally released on the Android 2. I recommend that you follow these updating tips or at the very least make sure to backup your phone before updating to avoid any complications. Updating is pretty strait forward though, I doubt you will have any issues. Samsung is my favorite manufacture and one of the reasons why is because they like to keep their older phones up to date with the latest software as well.

Thanks for the reply. My wifi was horrible most of the time, timing out while downloading apps and while on the internet. When I turned on airplane mode, it would run like it was suppose to. The obvious issue is that I need to be able to get calls and messages while at home. Seemed to fix the problem so far.

Hi I bought an android 4. I have tried following your fix but I do not have the option to select IP static when I go into the advanced wifi setting. It is not there to select. Can you tell me if there is another way to fix this problem. Does your Jiayu G3T allow you to connect to open, public or unsecured networks such as a restaurant or coffee shop that offers free Wi-Fi?

If it does, which I think it probably will from what you said in your description, then the fault lies in the network or the password that you are having issues with. I have not had the opportunity to use a Jiayu smartphone yet so as far as setting up a Static IP address on that specific phone I cannot give you specific step by step instructions. You did mention that your smartphone was running 4. If you have any more questions or if your phone is doing anything in particular when you try to connect to Wi-Fi then let me know and I will try to help as best as I can.

Nice to meet you, strange though as I just helped another Yogi earlier today as well. You have a Samsung DUOS GT thank you for telling me what type of phone is having the problems , and when you switch the Wi-Fi on, the phone begins to power itself off and on over and over again until the Wi-Fi is switched off? You said that your Laptop connects to the Wi-Fi network properly so the problem most likely lies on the mobile phone.

I agree with you as this does sound like a problem with the phone itself. Most likely a software related issue. Here is what I recommend… Make sure to try the troubleshooting suggestions listed in the guide above, especially the last suggestion, which is to backup and reset your phone. Most people fear the idea of resetting their device but performing a factory data reset is one of the best tools in troubleshooting an Android phone as it cleans out the phone which eliminates so many possible causes.

From what you described in your comment it sounds like the Wi-Fi problem on your Samsung is software related, so backup your phone and perform the factory data reset, wait to download any applications and try it as a clean install for a few days to make sure everything on the phone is working correctly.

That is an uncommon issue you are having but you are going to want your Wi-Fi to work as Wi-Fi is usually faster and you can avoid data usage issues with your service provider. Thank you for taking the time to come back and let me know that my advice helped to fix your issue and that your cell phone is now working properly once again.

Actually every cellphone in my home is able to connect to wifi network but no internet access. Whereas, all the laptops are able to connect through internet, getting full internet access. Do the router settings need to be changed?? Yes, I agree. It sounds like an issue caused by your router. Especially if all your cell phones can connect to your home network but have no internet, while your laptops can connect to the Wi-Fi but their internet works fine.

Before going into your router and configuring its settings, which you might have to end up doing, I recommend that you start with basic router troubleshooting. If you have not already done so then disconnect the power cord from your router for a couple of minutes. You can power off all the devices that connect to your network if you want before you plug the power cable back into the router and then try to connect with just one of your cell phones.

If the cell phone connects then go ahead and power on all your gadgets that use Wi-Fi and make sure that they all work. If they all work then congratulations its fixed and enjoy your Wi-Fi connection and Internet on your cell phones, but if your cell phones continue to have issues then you might have to play with your routers settings a bit to get all of your devices to connect properly again.

If you cannot seem to locate the cause in the routers settings then you can reset your router back to default and it would probably fix it. Resetting it would cause your personal configurations, like a network password, to be lost though and you would have to setup your router again. If you do not feel like resetting your router you can try contacting your routers tech support department, as they should be able to give you directions on how to access your routers settings, locate or point out the cause, and best of all tell you what to change to fix it.

I hope that helps Akhil. Samsung said when i called, they offer help only if my device is manufactured in US. If this issue happened right after you updated your Galaxy Note 3 n, you have tried different Wi-Fi networks including different routers; you have checked your power saving apps and settings, and another Galaxy Note 3 running on 4.

Sometimes a cell phone can seem to have issues after updating to the latest version of Android. You can also read How to avoid issues when upgrading or updating an Android smartphone to steer clear of these types of annoying issues when updating in the future. But I digress.

Read that first guide for fixing phones after updating and it should get your Wi-Fi speed back to the way it was before.

A static IP address might help in your situation, but a factory data reset with a clean install can be the Mother of all fixes and if you have not tried to reset your phone yet then I recommend you perform that full backup and reset your Note 3 and then use it as a clean install without any apps, as I think it will help.

Worst case scenario is that the 4. Kind of a strange coincidence as I just published an article about that exact issue approximately two hours before you posted your comment. Follow the directions in that guide and your phone should be up and running again in no time. WEP i. WPA 2 I had problems simular to those mentioned above with my Android tablet v 4. At home the wifi connection is no problem. I have tried the as what u have mentioned above.

However when I select forget network and try again to connect it does not show the option to key in the password. I also have tried to off the wifi and on the fight mode and on the wifi but still the error msg appears.

Please help me on this. Thank you. Galaxy s4 upgrade sucks I upgraded my galaxy s4 a couple days ago to 4. Somebody please help. But my colleagues all no problem. I use my house wifi no problem. Do you know what happen? I was just carrying on one night, a week or two ago surfing the Web. I was upstairs. I had just got the phone a few days prior to this unlucky occurrence. But it suddenly freaked out, saying it was disconnected, then scanning, then connecting, scanning, connecting, obtaining IP address, scanning.

The changes in status changed rapidly. I restarted my phone and tried again, but with the same result. I went back upstairs, and it disconnected. The 4G symbol was on, and I do not want to use my data, afraid of going over. I have to actually sit downstairs next to my router in order to be connected.

I have had issues with WiFi on two past occasions. But that was in the past. And from one of your solutions on that issue.

I could fix those phones one day. Any suggestions? I have been thinking about your peculiar issue… Since your other devices seem to still be functioning properly it leads me to think that the cause is something to do with the phone itself.

My first impulse was a software issue might have caused the phone to lose its Wi-Fi connection, especially since it happened when browsing online. Then I started thinking that it may just as well be a hardware problem, like an issue with the phones antenna, because your cell phone does work to a certain extent but only when you are right next to the router.

If your phone connects properly and seems to work fine on other wireless networks then you can throw the router back in as a possible suspect. If you have to get close to any other routers you attempt to use in order to get a decent signal then we can blame the phone itself.

Software — make sure to try all the suggestions in the article above if possible , especially a full backup and factory data reset. If this is the case then this issue will be covered under the manufactures warranty and as long as there are no signs of physical or liquid damage then you can get the phone repaired or replaced for FREE. If your phone is still pretty new look into returning it to the place that you purchased it as well. I hope that helps, and I appreciate the detail in your comment.

Besides, too much information is always better than not enough information. If you have any more problems, or questions then please feel free to reply to this comment and ask. Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon. So… your Wi-Fi connects and seems to work fine but while browsing, surfing or using the internet your Wi-Fi stops, disconnects itself, and stops working.

I am assuming that the phone switches over to your mobile data instead? I would be more than happy to try and help you fix your Wi-Fi.

I just need some additional information that will help me to help you properly. From what you described in your comment you tried setting up a static IP but did you try the next recommended step listed in the guide? When your Wi-Fi connects and then disconnects itself it could be the result of a software issue on the phone. Did you check your apps, or more importantly perform a full backup of your phones information and then complete a factory data reset on your device?

If you have not done so then I highly recommend you do it as its most likely going to fix your issue. If you need help backing up and resetting your cell phone then click here for the step by step process. If you reset your phone and use it as a clean installation with no third party apps and you are still having problems with it disconnecting from the Wi-Fi then let me know what kind of phone you have, and any other information that might help me locate the exact cause of the issue and I will do my best to try and provide you with the solution to this annoying issue for good.

I tried the forget feature, restarting my phone, even my router. Finally found this awesome web page. And with one click, I turned on airplane mode went back into WiFi and it connected! Simple and so easy! Thank you for this page! Can you please tell me a way to fix it without having to reset my phone? Same exact thing just a different name. You can get to the Flight mode the same way you would access a phones Airplane mode, just open your cell phones Settings, go to More settings, and then Flight mode.

For Authentication errors make sure to triple check your password as well, as that is a common cause of that issue. Other devices are connected fine to the wifi. I have done a factory reset on the phone, but it still fails to connect to the home wifi. It detects other wireless connections perfectly well. What is going on!?!?!??! I have this problem only at home and only with my galaxy s2.

Other devices and cellphones do not have this problem. I checked the wireless setting on phone and I can not figure out whats the problem.

I will be grateful if you give me a suggestion on how to fix this issue. Please do find me solution. Please help me. I have some good news and bad news… the good news is that this is not a problem with your Wi-Fi or Mobile data, Woohoo!

The bad news is that your problem sounds phone related and might not be the easiest long term fix to find a solution for. Start by clearing the cache on your phone and then visit a few web pages with a lot of images to see if the error message returns. I am not sure what make and model of phone you have but I recommend reading How to solve memory and storage issues on an Android smartphone for some tips that can help you solve this issue.

I live in outer Hooterville. I downloaded the manual, watched YouTube videos and always get stuck at the same place: The screen that should offer me the option of enabling WiFi calling, just never comes up.

Just put a brand new Sim Card in it. It places and receives calls perfectly, but I need WiFi calling at home because of business. BTW, I took screen shots of it so you could see the path I took, if you need them. Why does kindle asks me to enter the address for shipping when I thought i could immediate read it at after i buy the book and no shipping required? Have owned an iPad for 9 years. Thank you for posting this. Any way to work around that? I was so afraid I would have to throw it out. Thank you so much! I want to change country. At my phone, all are Japanese words because I am staying at Japan. Can you give me advice.? I wonder any of you can can help me to answer my question please: is the 3g experiment browser still working in globally?

If you are having this issue this video is a god send, I will admit it took me a few minutes to find the proper page to download the precious software update but it was well worth it and I am beyond the moon excited! Thank You!!!!!!!!!! My question is not about the deregistration and registration. My question is how do I find my password for my Wi-Fi? The Fire 10 is great with the show charging unit. Will I lose all books that I have at it?

Thank you. Is there any way to contact you? What do I do. I ordered a Kindle Fire for a friend. It came loaded with everything linked to my Amazon account. If I deregister the device, and rest it, will the new owner be able to sign up for their own Amazon account and use the device? Thank you so much for this video. My kindle keyboard is like brand new only used it one year after they came out and wanted to use again and was having a hard time doing anything with it but your video helped me tremendously.

Now I can use it again and use my fire for just videos. I downloaded the file and followed these instructions however, when I come to update, the option is not highlighted on the Kindle menu, so I cant click on it. Anyone care to help me please.

This worked perfect April 20, !!! Customer service was closed and the last time I called they told me the kindle was old and they would just sell me a new one. I wanted my Kindle Keyboard with lifetime 3g to work again.

You saved the day for me! Any ideas? So I deregister my fire5 and gave it to my mom and gave her a new account. I am getting charge for using the service. If I deregister my mom kindle will this solve my problem?

Thank you so much for this I received an older model as a gift, and this really helped me update it. As a note for others the Kindle Keyboard serial number B seems to have a flawed update on the Amazon site for 3.

I ended up going to Softpedia for that, and took a chance on the download, then finished up as described for the rest of the updates off of the Amazon site. Followed amazon stuff but was missing the version number match step… I only had 3. All good now. After contacting kindle support, i was told the device had been deactivated, as it had been registered as lost. Is there a way to work around that? I bought a new amazon Fire HD Fire 8 from someone. Accidentally I deregistered it, and now I have forgotten which email Id I had registered with.

How can I retrieve the unregistered deleted email Id. Plz help. You solved what I had needed and searched for exactly! I was going to dump the kindle until I found you video! Thanks again awesome job!!! Please try again later.
